Day 1: Arrival Rome & Embarkation
Welcome to Rome, Italy. Your Tour Director and Driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the port of Rome in Civitavecchia for your cruise embarkation onboard MSC Fantasia.
This morning you are docked in Palermo. Palermo holds an unrivalled display of Norman art and architecture and Baroque churches, combined with a warren of medieval streets and markets. Wander as the fancy takes you, sifting through Palermo’s jumbled layers of crumbling architecture, along deserted back alleys, then suddenly emerging in the midst of an ebullient street market.
Cagliari, Sardinia’s capital and main port, is striking. Crowned by its historic nucleus squeezed within a protective ring of Pisan fortifications, Cagliari’s setting is enhanced by the calm lagoons to the east and west of the city, a habitat for cranes, cormorants and flamingos.
Day 4: Palma de Mallorca, Spain
This is the Capital of the island of Mallorca. It is situated in the western Mediterranean sea. Its main attraction is the Santa Maria Gothic Cathedral built in the 13th century standing high up overlooking the Mallorca Bay.

Day 6: Marseille, France
Today we are docked at the picturesque city of Marseille at the coast of France. It is home to the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde. This Neo-Byzantine church stands on top of a hill and was designed by the French architect Esperandiu between 1853 and 1864.
In Genova you can explore its old town: a dense and fascinating warren of medieval alleyways home to large palazzi built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries by Genoa’s wealthy mercantile families and now transformed into museums and art galleries. You should seek out the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, the Palazzo Ducale, and the Renaissance palaces of Via Garibaldi
Day 8: Disembarkation & Imperial Rome Tour Rome
Disembarkation and Tour Imperial Rome. Following your disembarkation we continue to Rome. Your touring will start at the Legendary Coloseum famous as the place of spectacle and death. You will also see the Roman Forum which was a place where Romans would meet to discuss politics and religion as well as to shop. Circus Maximus also shows the glory of Imperial Rome, being a chariot racing stadium that could accommodate 150,000 spectators! Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Christian Rome. Rome despite its imperial glory is also a very important religious city for Christianity. Today you will be visiting the Vatican Museum, home to many historical and artistic masterpieces. Enter the Sistine Chapel and admire Michelangelo’s Frescoes wrapping all the walls around you. Conclude your tour with a visit to St. Peters Basilica where you will find “Pieta” the only work of Michelangelo actually signed by him.
