Day 1| 25 Sep: Arrival in Rome & Cruise Embarkation

This morning you arrive in Rome, Italy. Upon arrival, your transfer assistant and bus will be waiting to transfer you to the port of Civitavecchia for your cruise embarkation onboard Holland America! Nieuw Statendam

Day 3| 27 Sep: Dubrovnik, Croatia

Today are docked in Dubrovnik, "The Pearl of the Adriatic". This is a city full of interesting history and magnificent castles. Walk around the city and discover the great city walls, the numerous Gothic and Renaissance churches and the fascinating palaces.

Day 4| 28 Sep: Corfu, Greece

Today we are docked at the Greek Island of Corfu. Corfu has a long history and heritage under Venetian, French and British rule. Corfu Town, flanked by 2 imposing Venetian fortresses, features winding medieval lanes, a French-style arcade and the grand Palace of St. Michael and St. George.

Day 5| 29 Sep: Katakolon, Greece

This morning we are docked at the Port of Katakolon, at the North-west Peloponese on the Ionian Sea. From there you will be transported to Ancient Olympia. This is the birthplace of the first Olympic Games. Enjoy a walk through the ancient ruins and head back to the ship.

Day 6| 30 Sep: Athens, Greece

Get off the cruise ship and begin the tour of Athens. Visit among other masterpieces of the "Golden Age" the Acropolis, the Agora and the Mars Hill where Paul taught. Continue to ancient Corinth. Visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked. See the remains of first-century shops, the agora where Paul was on trial at the Bema, the Fountain of Peirene, Temple of Apollo and visit the museum.

Day 7| 01 Oct: Kusadasi, Turkey

Arrive at Kusadasi. Visit Ephesus, the most impressive archeological site in Turkey, including the Great Amphitheater where Paul spoke to the Ephesians.

Day 8| 02 Oct: Santorini, Greece

The town of Thira where white-washed houses, narrow streets, open-air cafes, and glittering boutiques cling to steep cliffs, is accessible by foot path, cable-car or mule. Enjoy this lovely island on foot

Enjoy your onboard amenities, while you are sailing to your next destination.

Day 10| 04 Oct: Naples, Italy

Today you are docked in Naples, a dazzling city perched on a beautiful rocky coast. Paul landed in the bay of Naples on his way to Rome. Travel inland to ancient Pompeii, dating almost to the time of Paul, where you can see the spectacular ruins that were covered by ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79.

Day 11| 05 Oct: Rome, Italy

Disembarkation and Tour Imperial Rome. Following your disembarkation we continue to Rome. Your touring will start at the Legendary Coloseum famous as the place of spectacle and death. You will also see the Roman Forum which was a place where Romans would meet to discuss politics and religion as well as to shop. Circus Maximus also shows the glory of Imperial Rome, being a chariot racing stadium that could accommodate 150,000 spectators! Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 12| 06 Oct: Rome, Italy

Christian Rome. Rome despite its imperial glory is also a very important religious city for Christianity. Today you will be visiting the Vatican Museum, home to many historical and artistic masterpieces. Enter the Sistine Chapel and admire Michelangelo’s Frescoes wrapping all the walls around you. Conclude your tour with a visit to St. Peters Basilica where you will find “Pieta” the only work of Michelangelo actually signed by him.
